I have a large golden doodle (approximately 80 pounds) that is a pretty aggressive chewer and I try to find chews for her that are made in the US with only US animal products. She is allergic to chicken so I also have to be careful with what she eats. I decided to try this product since I wanted her to have some variety. The photo attached shows the chew after an hour of steady, happy chewing by my pup! In total, this chew lasted a little over two hours of her steady chewing! I was very impressed. I always supervise new chews at least the first time to gauge safety and time since she has anxiety when left alone and I need long lasting chews for her.This one would likely not be a chew I would ever leave her unattended with as the middle portion started to come out (can be seen in the photo attached as well) and she started gagging/“choking” a couple times, for a very brief period of time. Again, she was supervised and chewing for a very long time so it is entirely possible this would not cause the same reaction in other dogs since it was slimy from constant chewing. Since eating the chew, she has not shown any signs of additional allergies or stomach issues. These are slightly pricey, but they are considered long lasting and I’d say worth the money! I don’t think these would be ideal for a smaller dog since they are large in size and a smaller dog may not be able to maneuver the item very well, but I think it’s great for a large dog.
